Pudney Shuttleworth are the retained agent for Topps Tiles across the whole of the north of England, with store acquisitions in towns such as Shipley, Skegness and Halifax. More recently, Topps Tiles have not been acquiring new stores, but repositioning their portfolio of over 300 stores with asset management initiatives, which has led to Pudney Shuttleworth being involved in the disposal and relocation of various stores.
Pudney Shuttleworth acted for Topps Tiles in the disposal of their 5,139 sq ft store at Weston Road, Crewe, which was assigned to Wedgmoor Limited as well as agreeing a surrender of the lease to the Landlord on their 5,023 sq ft unit at The Trade Yard, Beverley and their 5,000 sq ft unit in Leeds. In addition, after identifying the need to relocate from their store in Bangor, North Wales, Pudney Shuttleworth acted for them in seeking and acquiring a new lease on a former HSS unit, extending to 3,646 sq ft at Llandegai Trade Park. This transaction allowed Topps Tiles to smoothly move their operation from their old store to their new store.
In addition, Pudney Shuttleworth acted in the acquisition of new premises on Ormskirk Road, Aintree, Liverpool as a relocation from their current unit on Aintree Shopping Park, which is on the market through Pudney Shuttleworth.
Pudney Shuttleworth have also been involved in lease renewals and re-gears with transactions recently completed in Warrington and Stockton on Tees.
