Peel Developments/Peel Holdings have been a long standing client of Pudney Shuttleworth, with instructions across the UK, including acting as letting agent on several of their retail warehouse parks, in Barnsley, Washington and Yeovil.
Recent agency activity at Barnsley Retail Park, Barnsley has led to Pudney Shuttleworth letting the vacant Bathstore unit of 3,229 sq ft to restauranteur, Cow and Cream, which will provide a much needed restaurant use to the retail park. This will shortly be followed by the opening of a Starbucks drive thru coffee outlet, who have taken a new build drive thru unit of 1,800 sq ft within the main car park.
In addition, Pudney Shuttleworth have agreed terms to split the vacant and former Pizza Hut into 2 separate units, with a national restaurant operator taking 2,788 sq ft (along with a newly constructed drive thru lane) and a national multiple retailer taking the balance of 1,136 sq ft. Completion if these leases are due shortly.
The only remaining vacant units on the retail park are Units 3A and 3B, both of which are now under offer as a combined single unit to a national multiple retailer, which when completed will mean that Barnsley Retail Park will be fully let.
In addition, Peel own the adjacent Peel Trade Park on Twibell Street, where Pudney Shuttleworth have recently let units to Screwfix and Easy Bathrooms as well as selling a 1.84 acre site to Venture Business Parks for the construction of a new 15,000 sq ft MKM builders merchants.
