The sale of CGU House on Boar Lane in Leeds completed in February after receiving strong interest from a number of buyers. Achieving close to £10.6m, equating to circa £190psf, the 50,763 sq ft office and former home to Aviva was sold by Regional REIT through London & Scottish Investors. Richard Fisk of Pudney Shutleworth acted for the vendor on the sale. He also acquired the investment some four years earlier at £7.6m when Aviva were still in occupation and paying close to £1m per annum in rent. The purchaser, a London based fund, has interesting plans to create innovative office space. There were a variety of potential buyers looking at a range of end uses.
