Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the commercial property market, having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1989 while spending his formative years working in London. In 1999 he moved to Yorkshire in order to build the Investment business at CBRE where he successfully ran the team for a number of years as Senior Director. Richard also held a position as Director heading the Investment team at JLL in Leeds prior to joining Pudney Shuttleworth in 2009.

His track record and expertise are wide ranging, having been involved in both acquisitions and disposals across all the main sectors. More recently Richard’s work has included site acquisition and development work particularly in the Student and Hotel markets.

Some of Richards more recent clients include London & Scottish Investments (Regional REIT), GMI Property, Select Property Group (Vita Students), GNW Estates and Hambleton District Council. In the past he has acted for a wide range of private investors, local developers, regional property companies, institutional funds and certain corporates
