Richard has almost 30 years of experience dealing with retail and leisure property, primarily in the north of England. He spent much of his early career within the High Street Retail and Leisure Team at DTZ in Leeds and became Director of the team in 2000. In 2004 Richard co-founded Pudney Shuttleworth.

He represents major national Landlord clients including Land Securities, Legal & General, Bruntwood, Kames Capital and Doncaster Council. He has advised on numerous significant mixed use development schemes including Trinity Leeds, The Light Leeds, Xscape Yorkshire, Cardigan Fields Leisure Park Leeds, and Lakeside Triangle Doncaster, amongst others.

His occupier clients include ARC Inspirations, Marston’s, Bistrot Pierre, Mitchells & Butlers, Estabulo, Roxy Leisure and Aagrah Restaurants, along with a host of more regionally based retailers, leisure operators and landlords.
